Passengers Who Use SGR Asked To Arrive Early To Wash Their Hands

The government of Kenya has been encouraging Kenyans to avoid crowded places, work from home or ensure they wash their hands with soap and water or use sanitizers in an effort to stop the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

Some of the places that Kenyans have been advised to be careful and prevent the spread of Coronavirus are Matatus, the Likoni Ferry and the Standard Gauge Railway.

The China Communication Construction Company (CCCC), working in conjunction with Kenya Railways Corporation, has put in place measures to make sure that all passengers who use the train are safe and not at risk of contracting the deadly Coronavirus.

The two organizations have encouraged all passengers who wish to use the train to arrive early in order for them to comply with the necessary “sanitary procedures.”

“In light of the situation, we advise passengers to arrive at the station early enough to comply with the necessary sanitary procedures,” said Kenya Railways in a statement.
